Timber Trail is tucked on the North Shore of Little Glen with water views of the pristine waters of Glen Lake just steps away. Little Glen is ideal for the little ones, it has a nice firm sandy bottom and does not get deep right away. This traditional lake front cottage is clean and well kept with a fully stocked kitchen. It has great outdoor spaces for the entire family with private waterfront, sandy shoreline, outdoor seating, patio, fire pit, and private dock for boaters. This is a fantastic location for your family to enjoy time at the lake and be within 10 minutes of downtown Glen Arbor, The Sleeping Bear Dunes, and several biking and walking trails.

We had a great stay! Perfect for our family get together with adults and small children. Loved being on the lake and having the view from the house. Great location not far from lots of our favorite spots. FYI, sufficient pots and pans, but don’t plan on a well-stocked pantry. Recommend bringing a water filter pitcher. Overall a great stay, happy to recommend.

Great location and views. Pleasantly surprised that it was air conditioned as I had not picked that up in the description. There was a recliner in one of the photos but it is no longer there, and that would have been nice to have. Could use some updating of kitchen utensils and cookware. Outdoor patio area also could use some updating. We had a couple of issues with the cable TV and the air conditioning but the property manager was very helpful and the problems were quickly resolved. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Pros: sits back off road
Sunsets are amazing off the dock
Clean and well stocked
Close to town and sleeping bear dunes
Cons: no air conditioner and half the windows don't open which made it a hot box. (They do provide box fans) There is 1 ceiling fan in the whole place.
Swimmers itch is real. Wish they would of mentioned it in the welcome book they leave , would of saved us a trip to urgent care 40 minutes away. Apparently Glen Lake is known for swimmers itch.
We did have a good time. Yes the house is very dated but we were there to spend our days outdoors. I would recommend staying here. There are quite a few steps to get down to the water which could be challenging for some. Plenty of room for the six of us .

Beautiful location - we loved the close proximity to town, the sand dunes, and bike trail while being right on the lake.

What a great property and location. It definitely needs a little TLC here and there for the price. Property in Glen Arbor is very expensive however. The lake and lake front was absolutely stunning/ beautiful! Loved that it came with a little bundle of firewood because for Arbor was sold out. Perfect place for friends and family to gather if everyone splits the cost to make it more reasonable.

The lake front home is located deep in the woods far from the road and is exceptionally quiet and private. Glen Arbor, the dune climb and Lake Michigan are just minutes drive away. The Alligator Hill trail system is right across the road so if you are a dog walker, there are miles of pristine wooded trails to hike. I have stayed here several times in the past 15 years. All of the appliances have been updated and are very nice. The TV and the Wi-fi worked well. The home is older and the decor is dated but all perfectly adequate. If you value privacy and don't need luxurious touches, this is an ideal Leelanau vacation site.

It is a great location. The house is a little run down. If fixed up it would be amazing.

Excellent location, close to town, we enjoyed a quiet and leisurely stay at this classic vintage cottage. Private beach was just enough space for our group of 6 (and two dogs). The house is on the smaller side, but there was just enough room for everyone to be comfortable and have a little privacy. House and property could use a little sprucing up, but if you aren’t too particular about modern amenities and quality of the home, you’ll find this place well suited to kick back and relax. There are not many lights to illuminate the path down to the beach at night, highly recommend bringing flashlights. Overall, we had a great stay in this property.

This is an incredible location, and well appointed for a great get away vacation. The lake is beautiful, and Glen Arbor is a wonderful location for a relaxed vacation and access to all that the Northern Lake Michigan vacationer wants to do.
