Prepare to be wrapped in calm the moment you glimpse Lake Michigan's inviting turquoise waters during your stay at Blue Calm.

Follow the winding, wooded drive to your private log cabin retreat. Listen closely and you'll hear gentle waves brushing the shoreline. At dawn, the sky erupts in rainbow hues over the water. Spend your days drifting between carefree beach time, leisurely kayaking or paddleboarding (one of each provided), or even paddling toward Northport's famous Gull Island. Unwind in the beach hammock with a peaceful nap or retreat to the sunny front deck with a good book. Enjoy backyard picnics featuring farmers market finds and meals off the gas grill. At day's end, sip a local wine or craft brew beneath the covered lakeside deck on the cozy porch swing for two. Then gather around the campfire to roast marshmallows beneath a star-studded sky before drifting to sleep to the soft chorus of crickets and waves. And repeat.

Accommodations

Blue Calm welcomes up to eight guests (non-smoking) with three bedrooms, two baths, and an open-concept main living area.

- Main level: King-bed master with new TV, full bath, laundry, kitchen, dining area, and the stunning Great Room—where sweeping turquoise views pour in through double sliding glass doors.

- Upper level: Two bedrooms—one queen lakefront room and one bunk room (full-over-full with twin trundle) with a lake view. These share a ¾ bath and a sitting loft.

- Entertainment: TV in the Great Room for local channels or streaming apps. Please note: internet speeds vary and are often not suited for streaming on multiple devices, especially during hot weather. We encourage guests to unplug and explore.

To protect this remarkable lakeside haven, Blue Calm emphasizes environmentally responsible practices: non-toxic cleaning products, recycled or cloth alternatives when available, on-site recycling and composting, and overall efforts to minimize environmental impact.

Perfectly situated in the heart of Northern Michigan, the cabin is close to wineries, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, boating, casinos, and more. Downtown Northport and Suttons Bay are just 10 minutes away, while Traverse City and the nationally acclaimed Sleeping Bear Dunes are about a 45-minute drive.

- Due to liability, township rules, and insurance policies, day guests are not permitted without express permission from management.

- Guest capacity may not be exceeded at any time. Violations may result in fines or eviction as outlined in the rental agreement.

Paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, and dishwasher tabs (if applicable). Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional supplies. If a specific amenity is important to you, please reach out to management to confirm.
