Go Jump in the Lake offers three bedrooms (1 queens and 2 full), full bath and large family room/kitchen on the first floor; one bedroom (full bed) and two sets of bunk beds and a full bath on the lower level; large screened in front porch; and laundry room adjacent to garage with an additional bath with shower. Sleeps 10. A gas grill with propane, a charcoal grill and smoker are available to you for grilling. Televisions have been updated with Apple TV for guest streaming use and a foosball table is available for some friendly competition and entertainment. ***Updates for 2021 include all bedrooms have new décor, paint and lighting and ceiling fans, and refurbishments*** Step across the front yard and road and you'll arrive at a gated lane that meanders down to your own semi-private beach—neighbors only—with a lovely little dock that extends out into the summer-warmed, shallow, clear blue waters of Platte Lake where you can wade out 300 yards and the water only goes up to your knees. The lane allows for vehicles in case you want to drop off a kayak or paddleboards. You will find three kayaks, two paddleboards, canoe, and a boat carrier in the garage that you are welcome to use. Guests are invited to make use of the pull wagon to help transport gear to the beach. If biking is more your thing you will also find three bikes that are great for exploring the area. Spend time relaxing on the large screened in, furnished porch or end your day by relaxing around the fire pit in the back yard and sharing your Michigan Memories. Beyond Go Jump in the Lake, more of Northern Michigan awaits! Just grab M-22 up around the bend at the stop sign, go straight across to Peterson Beach's picturesque dunes and beach. To the south, the Platte River crosses at Riverside Canoe Rental where you can grab a canoe or tube and float all the way to Lake Michigan! Or rent from the Trading Post to the west on Deadstream (great pizza)—both offer groceries, beverages and supplies needed in a pinch. Keep going and hit the Old Indian Trail with access to hilly dunes and Lake MI, then stop by Point Betsie lighthouse, finally arriving at the lovely coastal town of Frankfort about 20 minutes from Go Jump in the Lake, replete with lighthouse/pier/beach, restaurants, brewery, movie theater, shopping, access to a great bike trail through wetlands and game preserve and more. To the north, M-22 cuts through postcard-perfect scenery to the first town, Empire, known for its amazing high dunes and bluff views, then continues all the way up through the wine country of the Leelanau peninsula to the cute-as-can-be former fishing town of Northport.
