This beautifully located 1 bedroom / 1 bath condo is in the heart of South Village at The Homestead, America's Freshwater Resort. Literally minutes away from all that Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has to offer, and steps away from The Homestead restaurants, deli & grocery store, salon & spa, gym, hiking trails, golf course, ski hill and Lake Michigan, this is the place to relax and enjoy the convenience of an in-town, 'Up North' getaway! When staying at Craig's Cabin you are welcome to use the beach walk over to Lake Michigan but you will not have access to the pool or other amenities. This condo features a king size bed and full bath, with jacuzzi tub and separate shower off the master bedroom. There is a queen sofa-sleeper in the living room as well as a wood burning fireplace. Stay connected with free Wi-Fi and cable TV. All bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided. The fully equipped kitchen has all appliances and a stacked washer & dryer in the pantry. The patio off the kitchen leads to groomed trails throughout the resort for leisurely morning or evening strolls. In the spring of 2020 a new kitchen will be in place, along with a flat screen TV. Take the M-22 tour and visit our welcoming sister communities of Empire, Leland (and historic Fishtown), Lake Leelanau, Suttons Bay and Northport. Traverse City is only 25 minutes due east and has a bustling downtown, filled with unique shops and gourmet and casual restaurants. Live entertainment is never far away in our summer playground and winery tours are an excellent way to see the county and sample some award winning spirits from knowledgeable and oft-times colorful vintners! Hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing, fishing, horseback riding, berry picking, antiquing, festival-going...the list goes on and on. We even have one of the last drive-in movie theaters in the country! And in the winter, experience the magic of the Homestead in all her Christmas glory! All point to a relaxing place to catch your breath and settle in for a vacation to remember! No Pets. Please see rental agreement for cancellation and refund policy.

Little condo is good for a couple. Small kitchenette ok for mini meal prep. Fire place and washer dryer were nice extras. There's some steps to climb from the parking spot to the front door.

My husband and I stayed at this location to enjoy the numerous bike trails in the area. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Bike Trail can be accessed right from the Homestead. The cabin itself is one of the few stand alone units which affords privacy in a lovely tranquil setting. The kitchen was well stocked with new appliances, the king size bed was extremely comfortable and the cozy sofa was great for relaxing at night. We also appreciated the alternate parking area which allowed us to avoid climbing any stairs to get our luggage into the cabin. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back in the fall or winter.

We loved every minute of our stay at Craig’s Cabin. The unit is small but extremely well maintained. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect for our family. Central locale for the homestead and the A/C was nice as many units do not have this added feature.

Great place for our family with 2 small kids. No issues with the cabin. Easy drive to town when needed, and close to many trail heads. Nice little get away for our family.

Craig's Cabin Craig's Cabin was perfect for my husband and I's fall color tour visit. It was very clean and tidy and located conveniently to Leelanau county's many sites. The decor is attractive and even though the little condo is tucked in with others there is a sense of nature and privacy with trees and greenery out every window. Our host Mark was very accessible, friendly, and prompt in answering questions. The mattress on the bed is soft which I found fine, but my husband would have liked a firmer bed. The little tube tv is from another decade and needs replacing. The kitchen is tiny and not for serious cooking but who wants to do that on vacation anyways? It is an older condo and showing its age in little details like lifting wallpaper around the bathroom shower, peeling paint on interior of bathroom door and mirrors with backing chipping on edges. Don't let that put you off though, it is overall a cute, affordable, well run place for 2 people with excellent location. We would stay again!

Great location and plenty of space. Needs some refreshment (ie. not enough hangers in closet and hairdryer is very old). Travelers should know that the facilities of the Homestead property are not included because you are renting with an outside source. So no access to pools etc. This was not a problem for us bc we had other things we were doing outside of the property during our stay. We would rent again because the unit was very comfortable.

In the Woods Very comfortable accommodations. The view out the large living room windows of the surrounding woods was very relaxing. Very easy drive to Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes.
